One of this year’s TED Prize winners, artist JR pastes images onto the urban landscape.
I could not help but view this excellent talk from two perspectives. On the one hand, he is talented and innovative (hence the prize). On the other hand he is engaging in an activity (graffiti, of sorts) that is illegal in most settings unless done with permission. It took a lot of guts for the TED folks to give the prize to someone operating at the limits of legality to practice art and activism.
